Refunds, when we start charging.

Right now: everything is free
At present, every feature on Pathfinder — the career quiz, results, career library, NEET drill — is free. You haven't paid us anything, so there's nothing to refund.
When we introduce paid features
We're planning premium features like detailed career reports, one-on-one counsellor sessions, and full NEET mock tests. When those launch, this is how refunds will work.
Digital products (reports, course access, mock tests)
Because digital products are delivered instantly and can be downloaded or consumed immediately, we follow a standard no-refund policy once access is granted. Before you pay, you'll see a clear preview of what you're buying.
Exceptions we will honour:
- Accidental double charge: full refund within 7 working days.
- Technical failure on our side (you paid, didn't receive access, we couldn't fix it in 48 hours): full refund.
- Material misrepresentation (what we promised isn't what we delivered): full refund after we investigate, within 10 working days.
Counsellor sessions
If you book a counsellor session:
- Cancel 24+ hours before: full refund.
- Cancel 4-24 hours before: 50% refund or one free reschedule.
- Cancel less than 4 hours before, or no-show: no refund (counsellor time was blocked).
- Counsellor no-show or cancellation: full refund plus a complimentary session.
Subscriptions (if we offer them)
Monthly or annual subscriptions can be cancelled any time. When you cancel:
- You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
- We don't refund the unused portion of the current period.
- We don't auto-charge you for the next period once you've cancelled.
How to request a refund
Email legal@hostrob.com with:
- Your order ID or the WhatsApp number used to sign up.
- What you paid for and when.
- Why you're requesting a refund.
We respond within 2 working days. Approved refunds land in your original payment method within 5-10 working days (bank processing is outside our control).
Payment methods
When we launch paid features, we'll accept payments via Razorpay (UPI, credit card, debit card, net banking, wallets). All payments are processed in INR inclusive of applicable GST.
When we won't refund
- You changed your mind after consuming digital content.
- You didn't use the feature during your subscription period.
- You shared your account with others (which violates our Terms).
- Your complaint is about a career outcome (we can't guarantee admissions, jobs, or scores).
Disputes
If we decline your refund and you disagree, you can escalate to the same email — legal@hostrob.com — marking it "Escalation." A senior team member will review within 5 working days.
If we still can't resolve it, the final venue is the consumer courts in Thane, Maharashtra, under Indian law.
Changes
This policy will be updated before we launch paid features. The date at the top tells you when.
