The ground rules.

By using Pathfinder (the website, the quiz, the NEET drill, everything at careers.hostrob.com), you're agreeing to these terms. They're short. Please read them.

What Pathfinder is

Pathfinder is an AI-guided career discovery tool for Indian students. We run a 24-question personality and aptitude assessment, a NEET practice module, and a library of career paths. It's operated by Pathfinder Learning, a sole-proprietor entity based in Thane, India, registered under Udyam.

Who can use it

• Anyone can take the quiz and view the results.
• If you're under 18, we strongly recommend you take the quiz with a parent or guardian, especially before sharing your phone number.
• You need to be honest when you answer the questions. The quiz is only as useful as the truth you put into it.

What the result is — and isn't

The career match you get is a suggestion based on a pattern. It's not an official career assessment. It's not a prediction of your future. It's not a replacement for a real career counsellor, your parents, or your own judgment.

Think of it as a compass, not a GPS. It points in a useful direction. Where you actually walk is up to you.

We make no guarantee that following the recommended path will lead to admission, employment, or any specific outcome. Careers depend on effort, opportunity, market conditions, and luck — none of which we control.

What you can do with it

• Take the quiz as many times as you want.
• Share your result with parents, friends, counsellors, or on social media.
• Use the NEET drill to practice — just don't claim the questions are your original work if you redistribute them.

What you can't do

• Scrape the site in bulk, or try to reverse-engineer our scoring model.
• Use Pathfinder for anything illegal.
• Misrepresent yourself to collect someone else's data.
• Abuse our servers (flooding requests, DDoS, etc.).

If you do any of the above, we'll block your access without notice.

Payments (future)

Right now, everything on Pathfinder is free. We're building toward a premium tier that may include detailed reports, counsellor consultations, or mock test access. When we introduce paid features:

• We'll announce it clearly — no surprise charges.
• Prices will be displayed in INR with GST separately noted.
• Payments will be processed via Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant.
• Refund and cancellation rules will be on a separate page when payments go live.
• These Terms will be updated accordingly and flagged at the top of this page.

Intellectual property

The Pathfinder name, logo, quiz questions, scoring model, career blurbs, and NEET practice bank are owned by Pathfinder Learning. You can't reproduce them commercially without written permission. Personal, non-commercial sharing (e.g., showing your result to friends) is fine and encouraged.

Third-party content

NEET practice questions may reference concepts from NCERT textbooks, which are publicly available educational content. Where we reference exam data, colleges, or salary ranges, we've sourced from public information — if anything is incorrect, email us and we'll fix it.

Availability

We try to keep Pathfinder online 24/7, but we can't guarantee it. Servers go down, Cloudflare has outages, we push updates that occasionally break things. When that happens, we fix them fast. We don't owe you anything for downtime on a free service.

Liability

Pathfinder is provided "as is." We'll do our best to make it accurate, helpful, and secure — but we're not liable for decisions you make based on the results. If the quiz says "you'd be great at law" and you drop out of engineering to study law and it doesn't work out, that's not on us. Use your own judgment. Talk to people you trust.

Termination

You can stop using Pathfinder any time by just closing the tab. If you want us to delete your data, email legal@hostrob.com.

We can terminate your access if you break these rules. We can shut down the service entirely if it becomes unsustainable — though we'll give fair notice if that happens.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Thane, Maharashtra.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll notify people on our contact list. Continuing to use Pathfinder after a change means you accept the new version.
